You can reach us at info@turfbossconstruction.com or (732) 737-6610. References below to "we," "us," and "our" mean Turf Boss Construction.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
When you request an estimate, contact us, or sign a project agreement, you may give us:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and project address.
- Details about the work you want done (square footage, surface type, photos, notes).
- Payment information, when you make a deposit or pay an invoice through our payment processor.
- Any messages you send through the website, by SMS, or by email.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you browse the site, we and our service providers may collect:
- Your IP address, browser, device type, and referring page.
- Pages you view, time on site, and basic interaction events (form starts, button clicks).
- Cookies and similar technologies used for site functionality, analytics, and measuring our advertising, including the Meta Pixel described in section 7.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to estimate requests, schedule visits, and complete projects.
- Send project updates, invoices, and receipts.
- Operate, secure, and improve the website and our internal systems.
- Measure and improve the performance of our ads, and help Meta show our ads to people who may be interested (see section 7).
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
- With your consent, send occasional follow-ups about related services.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share limited information with advertising partners such as Meta, as described in section 7, and you can contact us about that sharing (see section 7.3). We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us run the business — payment processing (Stripe), SMS and email delivery (Twilio and our mail provider), site hosting, and analytics. Each is bound by contract to use the data only to serve us.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram advertising). The Meta Pixel, the Conversions API, and our CallRail call-tracking integration send the information described in section 7 to Meta Platforms, Inc., which handles it under its own Meta Privacy Policy.
- Call tracking (CallRail). Some phone numbers shown on this site are tracking numbers supplied by CallRail. CallRail's script swaps the number displayed on the page so that calls and texts to it can be linked to the page or ad that led to them; to do this it records information about your visit (such as the pages you view, the referring site, and any ad click identifiers in the link), and CallRail receives details of the calls and texts made to those numbers, such as the caller's number and the time. Those calls and texts reach our business line. We have also connected CallRail to our Meta advertising account: when a phone call to one of those numbers meets criteria we set, CallRail sends details of that call to Meta as a conversion (see section 7). Text messages are not sent to Meta.
- Subcontractors assigned to your project, only the information needed to do the work.
- Authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
4.1 Mobile messaging (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number and opt in to text messages, we use it to send and respond to messages about your project, pricing, estimates, scheduling, and invoices. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP at any time to opt out.
Mobile information — including your phone number and your SMS opt-in consent — will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share mobile data only with the platform providers and vendors that help us deliver those messages (such as our SMS carrier and messaging platform), and never for their own marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP.
5. Lead-platform integrations
If you contacted us through Thumbtack, Google Local Services, Angi, or a similar lead platform, that platform shared your contact information with us under its own privacy terms. Once it reaches us, this policy governs how we handle it.
6. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working (for example, remembering form state), to measure aggregate traffic, and to measure our advertising (the Meta cookies are described in section 7). You can block cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work without them.
Our contact and quote forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs a silent bot check in your browser when you submit a form. Turnstile may process limited technical data (such as your IP address and browser characteristics) under the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum. We use it only to filter automated spam and never to identify you.
7. Meta Pixel and Conversions API
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, which are operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. ("Meta"). To measure whether those ads lead to inquiries, this site uses two Meta tools: the Meta Pixel, a script that runs in your browser, and the Meta Conversions API, which sends matching events to Meta from our server. We also send certain phone calls to Meta through our call-tracking provider, CallRail.
7.1 What is collected and sent to Meta
- Page views. On every page, the Meta Pixel loads from Meta and records a page view. Like any request your browser makes, it carries your IP address, your browser's user agent, the full address of the page you are viewing, and the page that referred you. The Pixel is Meta's own code, and by default it can also record button clicks and basic information about the page (such as its title).
- Cookies. The Pixel uses a first-party cookie named
_fbpto recognize your browser across visits. If you arrive from a link on Facebook or Instagram (for example, one of our ads), the click identifier in that link (fbclid) is saved in a first-party cookie named_fbcfor 90 days, so that a later inquiry can be linked to that click. - Lead and contact actions. When you submit one of our inquiry forms (quote, contact, pop-up, or chat), the Pixel records a "Lead" event; when you tap one of our phone numbers, or the "Text Us" or email button on the mobile action bar, it records a "Contact" event. These events carry a short label for the form or button used; a Lead event also carries a fixed conversion value we assign to inquiries, and, for the chat, the service you picked. Text and email taps also carry a short code describing how you reached the site (for example, the ad network, landing page, and campaign name). The rest of what you type into a form is not included.
- Hashed contact details (form submissions only). When you submit a form, the
email address, name, and 5-digit ZIP code you entered (whichever you provided) are
converted in your browser into SHA-256 hashes, one-way scrambled codes, before they
leave the page. The readable values are not sent to Meta, and the phone number you enter on a
form is not sent to Meta in any form. The hashes go to our server, which
forwards them to Meta through the Conversions API together with the event, your IP address,
your browser's user agent, the
_fbpand_fbcvalues, and the page address (with any link parameters other thanfbclidremoved), so that Meta can try to match the event to a Meta account. Contact events (phone, text, and email taps) are sent the same way, without any contact details. - Phone calls to our tracking numbers. Through CallRail's Meta integration, when a phone call to one of our CallRail tracking numbers meets criteria we set (a first call from a new caller that lasts a minimum length), CallRail sends Meta conversion details about that call, so that Meta can link it to our ads. Meta can use these conversions to measure our ads and to build advertising audiences. Text messages to our numbers are not sent to Meta.
7.2 Why we use it
We use this information to measure how many inquiries our Facebook and Instagram ads produce, to improve how those ads perform, and so that Meta can show our ads to people who are more likely to be interested. Meta handles the information it receives under its own Meta Privacy Policy.
7.3 Your choices about Meta advertising
- Meta ad settings. Control how Meta uses activity from other websites to show you ads at facebook.com/adpreferences.
- Your browser. Block or delete cookies in your browser settings to stop the
_fbpand_fbcidentifiers from being stored or read. Blocking cookies does not by itself stop the events described above from being sent, together with your IP address, browser user agent, any click identifier in the current page address, and, when you submit a form, the hashed form details. - Industry opt-out tools. Opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info and youradchoices.com.
- Ask us. Email info@turfbossconstruction.com or call (732) 737-6610 to object to this sharing with Meta or ask about it. This site does not have an on-page opt-out switch, and we cannot currently turn this sharing off for an individual visitor, so we will reply and explain what we can do.
8. Your choices
- Access & correction. Ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or to correct it, by emailing info@turfbossconstruction.com.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your information. We may need to retain some records to comply with tax, accounting, or contract law.
- Opt-out of marketing. Reply STOP to any SMS, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Transactional messages about active projects will still be sent.
- Meta advertising. See section 7.3 for your choices about the Meta Pixel and Conversions API.
9. Children
The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
10. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including HTTPS for all data in transit and access controls on internal systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Material changes will be communicated by email if we have your address on file.
