What installed turf costs in Middlesex County
Installed synthetic turf in New Jersey typically runs $12 to $25+ per square foot all-in, depending on the turf grade, how much base preparation the site needs, and access. A 500 sq ft backyard in a mid-tier grade usually lands between about $7,000 and $12,000. That price includes the turf, a crushed-stone base, labor, edging and infill; extras such as drainage upgrades are itemized separately. The D&R Canal review zone in western Middlesex
Part of central New Jersey, including parts of western Middlesex County, drains toward the Delaware & Raritan Canal, and the D&R Canal Commission reviews development in that area. The Commission treats synthetic turf as an impervious surface, and its published examples include synthetic putting greens at golf courses. Whether a backyard job needs its review depends on where your lot is and the size of the project, so if you are near the canal or its tributaries, check the Commission’s review-zone map for your address before a large turf or hardscape project.
Everywhere else, the usual limit is your township’s cap on impervious lot coverage, which pavers count toward.
Turf delivery in Middlesex
